Soon the half marathon of Haren is starting with Iris at the starting line! Time to have a preview what kind of race this would be and what we could expect from our OCR athlete Iris.
The opening of the road season for Iris is starting in Haren, a little town in the province of Groningen. It is going to be a spectacular 21,1km, as the route goes straight trough amazing nature areas Vijftig Bunder and Appelbergen. That means Iris can even expect highland cows on the road! So if you think about joining, this is going to be very promising. Side note: you can also join the 12,3km or the 4 mile if 21,1km is too much for you. Still good views included 😉
Iris: ‘Last time a run a PR (personal record), so I’m not sure what to expect this time. However I’m going to try of course! I think after around 5km I know if it’s going to be again a record or not. So I won’t make any promises I might not be able to make. The distance wouldn’t be a problem, so luckily I don’t have to worry about that part!’
